growing up too fast!!!!

well, i can't believe that my little girl has lost her first tooth. she seems WAY too young for this. in the photo you can already see the adult tooth peeking thru her gums. slow down! you're growing up too fast!! she wants to grow up in other ways too. we put a christmas tree in her and sister's room with all their ornaments on it, and she decided a week ago that she would remove all the princess related ornaments because she wasn't going to be a princess anymore. Daddy talked her into returning the ornaments, but..."not a princess anymore"?!?!? c'mon, those Disney maidens have been a staple in our home since she was two! how could we part with them so soon? she also told me that Veggie Tales were for kids and she didn't want to watch them anymore. hello.....you ARE a kid! But you know she was glued to the TV as soon as Bob and Larry were out on that countertop. She's in a strange in-between phase where she wants to be so mature in some ways, yet still enjoys the little kid playtime. I keep hoping this is just a passing phase, but know deep down that this is just the beginning, and all these little girl frills will much too soon be traded in for High School Musical posters. Well, I'll silently hold on to that little girl I know she still is, yet help her become the young lady she wants to someday be.
